Your Labour candidates will be fighting on your behalf, demanding a fair deal for Crawley on the Tory controlled County Council.

The Crawley Labour party has announced their candidates for this years West Sussex County Council elections in June. 

 

Last yearCounty Council Tax went up by 4%. In June, the electorate of Crawley will be able to have a voice to vote on the incompetence of the ruling Conservatives in County Hall. To fight the years of under investment in the town, Crawley Labour Party is pleased to announce a team of outstanding members of the community to fight for the rights of Crawley residents.

 

 

With the new boundary changes, our Candidates are:

 

In Langley Green and West Green, Leader of Labour at Crawley Council Brenda Smith will be standing in this newly created ward.  Current Labour County Councillor Gillian Joyce will be standing in Broadfield. In the new ward of Bewbush and Ifield West, local radio presenter Chris Oxlade will be the candidate.

 

In Three Bridges and Northgate, former Hazelwick teacher Geraint Thomas is standing. In Ifield and Gossops Green, current County Councillor and former Mayor John Mortimer is the Labour candidate. Michael Jones, a previous County Councillor will be standing Southgate and Crawley Central.

 

Another experienced figure locally in politics is former Mayor and town councillor Ian Irvine who is the candidate for Tilgate and Furnace Green. Taking on Henry Smith in Maidenbower and Pound Hill South is 23 year old Kieran Byrne and in Worth and Pound Hill North, Crawley Councillor David Shreeves is the Labour candidate.
